Is This Your Daughter?

She used to be full of life… and now you’re not sure how to reach her.

She’s struggling with anxiety, depression, or past trauma, and it feels like nothing is helping.
The conversations turn into arguments. The connection feels lost.
You may be seeing self-harm, risky behaviors, or complete shutdown.

You’ve tried therapy. You’ve tried being patient. You’ve tried holding it together.

And underneath it all…
you’re scared for her, and wondering what else you can do.

Why Families Choose Wildflower

At Wildflower Mountain Ranch, we believe healing happens through connection, emotional safety, and meaningful relationships — not control or punishment.

Our program was intentionally created to feel different from traditional residential treatment environments. We maintain a small, relationship-centered setting where teens can feel seen, supported, and known as individuals rather than numbers.

Families often choose Wildflower because of our:

  • Small, home-like environment

  • Relationship-centered approach to healing

  • Family-first philosophy and parent involvement

  • Non-restraint and non-seclusion model

  • Trauma-aware and adoption-informed care

  • Equine and animal-assisted therapeutic experiences

  • Focus on emotional regulation and healthy connection

  • Individualized treatment and support

  • Calm, supportive environment designed to help teens feel emotionally safe

We understand that families are not just looking for treatment — they are looking for hope, trust, safety, and a place where healing and reconnection can begin.

Empower
Growth

Beginning residential treatment can feel emotional and overwhelming for both teens and parents. At Wildflower, we strive to make the process supportive, transparent, and relationship-centered from the very beginning.

During the first phase of treatment, our focus is often on helping each teen feel emotionally and relationally safe while building trust with staff, peers, animals, and family members.

Families can expect:

  • Ongoing communication and collaboration with the treatment team

  • Individualized assessment and treatment planning

  • Support with emotional regulation and healthy coping skills

  • Therapeutic groups, experiential activities, and relationship-building experiences

  • Opportunities for family involvement and connection throughout treatment

  • Parent support and neuroscience-informed coaching focused on communication, nervous system awareness, relational patterns, and practical tools for supporting healing within the family system

  • A structured but nurturing environment focused on growth, accountability, and healing

  • Supportive guidance as teens begin developing healthier patterns, communication, and self-awareness

We understand that every family’s journey is different. Our goal is to walk alongside families with compassion, honesty, and support while helping each teen move toward greater stability, connection, and hope for the future.

Equine & Animal-Assisted Experiences

Healing and connection do not always begin with words.

At Wildflower Mountain Ranch, horses and animals often help create moments of trust, emotional awareness, confidence, and connection in ways that feel natural and safe for teens who may be struggling emotionally.

Our equine experiences are supported by members of our clinical and therapeutic team and are integrated into the broader treatment process to help reinforce emotional regulation, communication, self-awareness, and healthy relationship skills.

Many girls begin opening up through experiences with horses, animals, nature, movement, and relationship-based interactions that support emotional safety, confidence, responsibility, and connection.

We believe healing can happen not only through conversation, but also through meaningful experiences, trusted relationships, and connection with the world around them.

“Animals often help build trust before words can.

Our Programs

Every girl’s path to healing is different. We offer multiple levels of care designed to meet her where she is—and support her forward.

At Wildflower Mountain Ranch, our mission is to help teen girls heal, reconnect, and rediscover hope through compassionate, relationship-centered care. As a nonprofit residential treatment program for girls ages 12–17 in Northern Utah, we pour everything we have into the girls and families we serve because we believe every daughter deserves the chance to feel safe, seen, and supported.

We never want another family to come home to an empty daughter’s bedroom, wondering where she is or if she is safe.

Through individualized care, family involvement, equine experiences, evidence-based therapies including DBT, TF-CBT, and TBRI, and a home-like environment built on trust and connection, we help girls and families rebuild communication, emotional safety, and hope for the future.

At our core, we are here to truly help families heal together.

We understand that many families feel exhausted, overwhelmed, and unsure where to turn. Wildflower Mountain Ranch provides a safe, relationship-centered environment where teen girls can slow down, heal, and reconnect with themselves and their families.

We proudly support adoptive families and work with Adoption Assistance Programs when available. Through compassionate care, evidence-based therapies, family involvement, and meaningful daily experiences, we help girls struggling with anxiety, trauma, self-harm, emotional dysregulation, low self-worth, and relationship challenges begin building confidence, trust, and hope again.
